Let me introduce myself, I’m Ellie, a social media manager with over 10 years of experience. I’ve worked with a diverse range of brands all around the world, but found my passion and my niche within home and interiors, UK travel, and hospitality.
As a freelance social media manager, I manage the entire process of social media for the brands. For most brands, I plan strategy, design or photograph social media content, write social media posts, and schedule them in. It’s a big job – and I love every aspect of it
I’m creative, ambitious and understand today’s digital landscape. My mission is to deliver content that authentically captures the essence of my client’s brand and truly resonates with their audiences.

A FEW OF MY FAVOURITE THINGS
Your job is easy when you love what you’re promoting. I put myself in the mind of the consumer (which is easy when you ARE the consumer!) and fill social media feeds with content that your audiences will love, turning them into brand advocates and customers.
If your feed is filled with flat, boring posts and irrelevant content, think to yourself, would you engage with those posts? I know I wouldn’t.
Just like people, social media gets boring quickly if it’s pretty, but lacks substance.

STUDY
Rust-Oleum produces paints in hundreds of colours for pretty much any project DIY project. As such, they need a social media marketing plan which reflected the breadth of the range and the versatility of the products in an inspirational and pinterest-worthy way.
I shared user generated content from our customers, as well as the stunning photography and videos which I had produced for the brand’s products.
I also initiated Rust-Oleum’s first ever influencer programme, incentivising the creation of quality content to provide valuable backlinks to the website, whilst boosting the brand profile. Seeking an influential lifestyle and interior design, I asked some of the top home influencers to produce projects using Rust-Oleum paints for them to post about on their social media channels. This was a time-efficient and cost-effective means of producing a variety of content and a good quantity of backlinks.
This activity took the Rust-Oleum’s social media pages from 3k followers to 68K through an effective social media strategy, painting the perfect picture for the brand.
